Michael Stewart is an accomplished attorney who has been practicing since 1990 when he founded The Law Office of Michael D. Stewart.  He represents a wide range of clients including corporations, businesses, and individuals.  The majority of Michael’s legal practice includes civil and criminal litigation and trial work.

Michael has litigated several disputes on behalf of businesses and corporations and he has also represented numerous individuals in criminal and civil matters.  His criminal litigation work ranges from minor traffic infractions to felonies while his civil litigation work ranges from personal injury cases to breach of trust cases.  Michael has extensive experience in business contract formation and breach of contract cases.

Michael is also an accomplished CPA who has been a self-employed entrepreneur since 1981.  His accounting practice focuses on tax planning and business consults for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.

Michael’s vast tax and accounting experience includes: preparing financial statements, writing business plans, consulting on business formation and business valuation, forensic accounting and analysis for litigation, business dispute resolution, small business coaching, and representing clients before various state and federal agencies such as the IRS, CA FTB, CA EDD, CA DIR, and other departmental agencies.

Michael has extensive knowledge and expertise in start-up businesses that include writing business contracts and succession planning.  His expertise also includes experience in private fund raising compliant with state and federal securities filings.
